Founded in March 2025, Tunu Explorers is built on years of expertise gained by its founders Anja Dietze and Sven Gust, while working for the Norwegian company Northern Explorers AS since 2010. Greenland remains one of the world’s last true frontiers, especially beneath the waves, where only a handful of divers have explored its untouched, ever-changing ice world. From drifting icebergs and pack ice to fascinating High Arctic wildlife like polar bears, narwhals, and the elusive Greenland shark, East Greenland offers raw nature and moments few will ever witness.
Tunu Explorers expeditions are about real adventure and unique photo opportunities in one of the most remote Arctic regions on Earth. As the only company regularly running diving trips, their expeditions are discovering ice caves, underwater ice walls, and dramatic seascapes that shift daily with the wind, currents, and shifting pack ice. Both winter and summer offer unique opportunities. In winter their expeditions combine diving under frozen pack ice and icebergs with exploring the endless white wilderness by dog sled, snowmobile, or skis. During summer, boats will allow to reach more remote coasts and hidden dive spots. Huge icebergs drift through the fjords while whales surface nearby under the midnight sun.
For divers and explorers who crave true wilderness, raw nature, and the thrill of the unknown, Tunu Explorers opens the door to East Greenland above and below the surface. Exploring icebergs beneath the surface requires special training, proper drysuit equipment, and experienced local guides who understand the unique conditions and safety measures needed in these cold, remote waters. For those prepared for this adventure, diving under and around icebergs is an experience that leaves a lasting impression.
